FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Gem and Mineral Society presents Meg Berry’s extraordinary gemstone carvings. Everyone seems to be invited to their month-to-month assembly, Could 12, 7 p.m., to listen to Berry speak about her carvings and the way she carves them.

Meg Berry will speak about her gem carving on the Fallbrook Gem and Mineral Society Could 12 assembly.

Berry started her profession in faceting in 1975. After finding out at Grieger’s Faceting Faculty, and on the Gemological Institute of America, she went on to win many awards together with 11 AGTA Spectrum Awards.

Recently, she has been combining faceting and carving on the identical gem in a freehand variation of concave faceting; she calls this her “Subsequent Degree” carvings.

The Could assembly can be on the Fallbrook Gem and Mineral Society, 123 W. Alvarado St., on Alvarado Road between Primary Avenue and Mission Highway. Mild refreshments can be obtainable.
