Commerce steadiness stays in a deficit in October – NSA


The nation’s commerce steadiness in October remained in a deficit. Nevertheless, it improved by a notable 33.5percentt (month-on-month) and 69% (year-on-year) from N$2.6 billion recorded in September 2022 and N$5.5 billion noticed in October 2021, respectively, in response to the most recent commerce statistics.

Shimuafeni stated evaluation for the commodity of the month underneath research centered on the exportation and importation of Wooden charcoal.

“For October 2022, Namibia exported Wooden charcoal price N$107.3 million principally destined for South Africa, the Netherlands, and Belgium whereas, on the demand aspect, the worth of Wooden charcoal imported into the nation was valued at N$100,000,” he concluded.
