FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Gem and Mineral Society’s subject for its Oct. 6 assembly is “Photographing Gems and Minerals.” The visitor speaker will likely be Robert Weldon, director of the Richard T. Liddicoat Library & Info Heart on the Gemological Institute of America.

As a world famend photographer, Weldon has photographed a number of the most extraordinary jewellery and gem specimens on the earth. His work might be seen within the GIA’s scholarly journal, “Gems & Gemology” and “Splendor and Science of Pearls.”

He will likely be presenting and discussing a number of the most spectacular issues he is photographed in his profession. Gems are recognized for the spectacular approach they work together with mild – glowing with shade, glowing or displaying fascinating phenomena. It’s troublesome to seize their essence with a single shot.

Come to Fallbrook Gem Mineral Society on Thursday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. to listen to Weldon talk about a number of the most spectacular jewellery, gems, and minerals topics in his 30 yr profession. The assembly is open to the general public, with free admission, free parking, a raffle and lightweight refreshments. The FGMS assembly room is at 123 W. Alvarado St.
